I owned Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX VR for about 9 months, for use with my Nikon D60, before my requirements "forced" me to obtain a 70-300vr. It can be a really very good top quality lens for when additional zoom energy is needed than the normal 18-55vr will deliver, particularly for landscapes, sports or the like. I discovered that the concentrate was speedy and smooth and straightforward to use, as described in Nikon's written material and that the image good quality was very beneficial - nice crisp and clear shots. I certainly appreciated the VR function specially when out near the 200 range, though most times at max I would use a tripod. The lens is pretty intuitive and effortless to make use of. As with quite possibly most lenses these days the ability to use either auto or manual focus is often a plus. Although fairly light weight, I didn't detect anything that made it flimsy or seem less than normal Nikon excellent. I would suggest this lens to anyone who only has an 18-55 now and (Read More...)
