Tamron AF 90mm f/2.8 Di SP AF/MF 1:1 Macro Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras

Product Review

I'm not a specialist but an avid amateur enthusiast, this lens is really unbelievable. This really is the first non-Nikon lens I have bought and I have been using it for about 14 months. It's lightweight and sharp end to finish, it does a very very good job on macrophotography. It tends to hunt a bit when set to full concentrate, but that could be expected because of the huge focal range. For portraits and very tight close-ups I totally adore this lens. The image good quality and sharpness is out of this world. The style of the concentrate ring makes it quite easy to switch between manual and auto focus, which is probably one of the far better design capabilities of this lens. It feels somewhat low cost as a result of the polymer construction but it is affordable and quite lightweight so it makes it simple to walk around with. I tested before getting. I employed the nikkor 105mm macro along with the Sigma 105, the nikkor has a far better feel construction wise (for 3x the price) but I could not tell a difference in performance. I felt this lens performed considerably better than the Sigma 105mm. (Review More...)
